Blue Thumb Spring & Fall Clean is a cold-water pond bacteria treatment that helps accelerate the decomposition of leaves, twigs, muck, and other organic sediment during the cooler months. The pre-measured, water-soluble packets make seasonal dosing simple while helping replenish beneficial bacteria lost over winter.

Each packet treats 1,000 gallons. Apply once per week in cold pond water, following the package directions for your pond volume.

Select enough packets for your pond volume and the number of weekly treatments you plan to make. The gallon figure below is the total treatment volume supplied by the package—not the maximum size of pond in which the product can be used.

Use during the cold-water season. Blue Thumb’s current catalog lists an operating range of 35°F–55°F.

Apply at a rate of one packet per 1,000 gallons, following all current package-label directions.

Repeat once per week while pond-water temperature remains within the recommended range.

Remove accessible piles of leaves and large debris by hand or with a pond net; the bacteria treatment supports physical maintenance but does not replace it.

Wait at least four to five days after applying an algaecide before adding Spring & Fall Clean. Algaecides can kill the beneficial bacteria in this treatment.

Your selection includes 12 or 24 water-soluble treatment packets. Each packet treats 1,000 gallons per application.

This is a seasonal bacteria treatment, not a complete pond-maintenance or winterization kit. Nets, thermometers, aeration equipment, de-icers, and other seasonal accessories are sold separately.
