DIY Corner Cascade Falls Box – 12" Curved Spillway

Add the sound and movement of a waterfall to a compact landscape with our DIY Corner Cascade Falls Box. Designed for corner installations and small pond-less waterfall features, this one-piece molded waterfall box features a distinctive 12-inch curved spillway that directs water into your stream or rockwork.

Its compact design works well in landscape beds and areas where a traditional straight waterfall box may be difficult to position. An attached landscape lid helps the box blend into the finished installation. This is the individual waterfall box with connection fittings, not a complete waterfall kit.

The 12-inch curved spillway makes this box a practical option for small waterfalls tucked into landscape corners, planting beds, and other limited-space installations.

The molded waterfall box features an attached landscape lid and two factory-installed 1.5-inch spinweld inlets. Included PVC fittings provide connection options for the plumbing used in your waterfall system.

A small waterfall can become a natural focal point when the spillway is integrated with surrounding stone and plants. These installation examples illustrate how the curved waterfall can work within a landscape.

Landscaping, decorative rock, liner, reservoir, pump, and surrounding installation materials are not included with the individual waterfall box.

PB1861 includes the waterfall housing and the listed PVC connection fittings.

One 1.5" spinweld plug

One 1.5" to 1" PVC male adapter

One 1" PVC adapter hose connector

This listing is for the Corner Cascade Falls Box and the fittings listed above. A pump, water reservoir, liner, underlayment, connecting hose, and installation stone are not included.

The 2,500 GPH rating is the maximum published flow capacity of the waterfall box, not a required pump output. Actual flow depends on pump selection, vertical lift, plumbing length, and other installation conditions.

Choose the Corner Cascade Falls when you want a small, curved waterfall rather than a wide, straight spillway. Its 12-inch footprint makes it useful for compact waterfall layouts, but your finished installation must also provide room for plumbing, liner placement, support, and surrounding rockwork.

If your design calls for a longer, straight waterfall opening, compare our other DIY Cascade boxes and Elite Spillways below. Waterfall width is not the same as the overall width of the housing, so review the dimensions before choosing a model.

In a typical pond-less waterfall installation, water is stored in a hidden reservoir beneath the landscape. A submersible pump sends water through flexible plumbing to the waterfall box at the top of the stream.

Water exits through the curved spillway, travels over the surrounding rockwork, and returns to the underground reservoir, where it is recirculated.

Proper placement, plumbing, liner integration, and leveling are important to a successful waterfall installation. The steps below summarize general pond-less waterfall planning.

Select a suitable corner or landscape area. Plan the waterfall path, the hidden reservoir, and the space needed for the surrounding rockwork. Mark excavation areas and have underground utilities located before digging.

Install the appropriate underlayment, waterproof liner, and reservoir components for your system. Extend the liner along the streambed to the waterfall box location.

Place the waterfall box on a stable, properly prepared surface. Adjust its position and level so water exits the curved spillway as intended. Allow room for plumbing connections and future access.

Connect the water supply hose using suitable fittings for your installation. The box has two 1.5-inch spinweld inlets, and the supplied fittings include a plug for an unused inlet. Confirm connection compatibility before assembly.

Integrate the box into the surrounding landscape, direct water toward the lined streambed, and fill the reservoir. Start the pump and inspect the complete water path for leaks, uneven flow, splashing, or water escaping the liner.

Our existing product guidance describes installation inside the liner or an attachment method using double-sided tape at the front. Double-sided tape is not included. Confirm the correct attachment and waterproofing method for your particular installation before proceeding.

Pond-less waterfalls can provide an attractive alternative for landscape areas where planting is difficult or mulch frequently washes away. With the proper reservoir, liner, plumbing, and rockwork, a sloped area can become a recirculating waterfall feature.

Inspect the spillway periodically and remove leaves, sediment, and other debris that could restrict water flow. Check the surrounding rockwork and liner to ensure water continues returning to the reservoir.

Keep the pump supplied with adequate water. Inspect plumbing connections for leaks, and follow the maintenance instructions for your particular pump and reservoir system. If your waterfall installation contains filter media, clean it according to the applicable maintenance instructions.

During freezing weather, monitor for ice formations that could divert water outside the lined stream. If shutting the waterfall down, follow the appropriate pump-storage and winterization instructions.

Our Pond-Less Waterfall Maintenance Guide provides additional seasonal maintenance recommendations.

Not sure whether the Corner Cascade Falls is the right fit for your project? Our Sales/Tech Team can help you review waterfall dimensions, plumbing connections, reservoir requirements, and pump selection before you order.

No. PB1861 is the individual Corner Cascade Falls Box with the listed PVC fittings. A pump, reservoir, liner, underlayment, connecting hose, and decorative stone must be purchased separately for a new waterfall system.

The Corner Falls has a 12-inch curved spillway designed for compact corner installations. Our straight DIY Cascade models have different housing dimensions and spillway widths. The curved design may be a better fit when a straight waterfall box does not suit the layout.

The waterfall box has a maximum published flow capacity of 2,500 GPH. That is not a required pump size. Choose a pump based on your desired waterfall flow, vertical rise, plumbing restrictions, and total system configuration. Contact our Sales/Tech Team if you need sizing help.

It may be suitable for an existing system if the space, plumbing connections, delivered water flow, and liner arrangement are compatible. Check the 12" × 12" × 10" housing dimensions and the two 1.5-inch spinweld inlets before ordering.

The housing provides two 1.5-inch spinweld connections for plumbing configuration. A 1.5-inch spinweld plug is included for closing an unused connection. Select the appropriate fittings for the plumbing arrangement you install.

Some pond-less waterfall systems can operate in winter, but freezing conditions require extra attention. Ice dams can redirect water out of the lined stream, and low reservoir water levels can damage pumps. Follow our Pond-Less Waterfall Maintenance Guide and your pump manufacturer's instructions when deciding whether to operate or shut down your system.

Our lifetime manufacturer's warranty covers manufacturing defects in Blue Thumb branded engineered plastic components, including Cascade and Spillway boxes, for the original purchaser. Proper installation is required, and additional terms and exclusions apply. See our official warranty document for the complete terms.
