Small Elite Pump Canyon

Our Small Elite Pump Canyon is a durable, one-piece molded pump vault designed for underground pond-less waterfall reservoirs. It houses your submersible pump, allows surrounding reservoir water to enter through side slots, and provides access for routine pump maintenance without dismantling the entire water feature.

With a maximum pump flow rating of 7,500 GPH, a removable access lid, and a connection for optional automatic water filling, it is a practical choice for medium-size pond-less waterfall systems.

The rigid, faceted body is designed for use inside rock-covered underground reservoirs. The one-piece molded construction helps provide a sturdy protective chamber for the pump.

Side openings allow water from the surrounding basin to enter the chamber. A removable lid makes it easier to inspect, clean, service, or remove the pump when needed.

The Small Pump Canyon is a pump housing and access chamber, not a complete water-storage basin or pond-less waterfall system. A finished waterfall requires a properly sized underground reservoir, pump, plumbing, liner, and waterfall components purchased separately unless included with another kit.

Choose your Pump Canyon based on pump flow, the pump's physical dimensions, plumbing requirements, and the available installation depth. Each model has its own capacity and maximum flow rating.

One-piece molded Small Elite Pump Canyon body with removable access lid, water-entry slots, hose connection provision, and molded connection for optional automatic water filling.

A compatible submersible pump, discharge/check valve assembly, flex hose, protective underlayment, rubber liner, Basin Matrix, waterfall spillway, and finishing stone are needed as appropriate for the overall waterfall design. These are not part of this standalone Pump Canyon listing.

Our Small Pump Canyon is installed at the lower end of the waterfall or stream, inside a lined underground basin. Water enters the chamber from the surrounding reservoir, and the pump sends it through flexible plumbing to the upper waterfall spillway.

The published 16-gallon capacity describes the Pump Canyon itself, not the total water capacity required for a completed waterfall. Reservoir volume should be planned for the operating water in the stream, plumbing, and basin.

Our installation guide specifies a 25-inch excavation depth for the standard Small Pump Canyon. Final basin length and width depend on your reservoir design and Basin Matrix configuration. Keep the access lid reachable for future pump maintenance.

These are the major installation stages. Follow the applicable Blue Thumb guide for detailed measurements, plumbing, and construction instructions.

Determine the stream route, pump location, reservoir volume, and Basin Matrix layout. Mark the basin area and excavate to the specified depth.

Install protective underlayment and rubber liner. Position the Pump Canyon and Basin Matrix boxes within the basin according to the installation plan.

Install the appropriately sized submersible pump inside the Pump Canyon. Connect the discharge assembly and route the flexible hose to the waterfall spillway. Allow access to the pump power cord and lid.

Complete the rockwork and waterfall, fill the reservoir, and start the system. Check water circulation, plumbing connections, and reservoir water level before completing the surrounding landscape.

Our Basin Matrix boxes provide underground reservoir storage around the Pump Canyon. Select the number and size needed for your waterfall design. Sold separately.

Explore our Pump Canyons and Water Reservoirs for other reservoir components and sizing options.

Periodically remove the access lid and inspect the chamber, pump, and water-entry slots for accumulated debris. Check the flexible hose, discharge connections, and water level. Keep the reservoir supplied with enough water for proper pump operation.

For seasonal shutdown in freezing climates, our maintenance guide recommends unplugging and removing the pump and check valve assembly, cleaning them, and storing the pump submerged in water in a frost-free location where appropriate for that pump. The underground basin should remain at least half full during winter to help reduce freeze-thaw movement.

Our Sales and Technical Team can help you choose the correct Pump Canyon, plan your reservoir, and confirm pump and plumbing compatibility before ordering.

No. This standalone listing is for the Small Elite Pump Canyon vault. The submersible pump and related waterfall components must be purchased separately unless you are purchasing a complete kit that includes them.

The published maximum pump flow rating is 7,500 GPH. For applications requiring higher flow, compare our Large Elite Pump Canyon, rated up to 20,000 GPH. Always confirm the pump's physical dimensions and plumbing compatibility.

The 16-gallon figure is the capacity of the Small Pump Canyon itself. A completed pond-less waterfall normally requires additional underground reservoir storage, commonly provided by Basin Matrix boxes. Total required capacity depends on the overall waterfall design.

The Small Elite Pump Canyon has a UniSeal connection designed to accept 2-inch flexible hose. Verify the pump discharge assembly and remaining plumbing components before installation.

Our lifetime plastics warranty covers manufacturing defects in qualifying Blue Thumb engineered plastic components for the original purchaser, subject to warranty terms. Proper installation is required, and post-purchase modifications void coverage. The warranty does not include associated labor or freight costs.
